Are all bowls on the website food safe?
No, all live edge (bark still present on the edge of the bowl) bowls are not food safe.  Other bowls have knots, cracks or holes naturally occurring and are not food safe.  These bowls are specifically marked as such.

How do I care for the food safe bowls?
Hand wash with dish soap and dry immediately. Avoid soaking bowls in water or putting in the microwave or dishwasher. As the finish dulls with use, it can be refreshed by applying Mike Mahoney’s Walnut Oil or mineral oil.

What kind of finish is on the food safe bowls?
All food safe bowls are finished with Mike Mahoney’s Walnut Oil which has the allergy causing protein removed.  (A family member is epi-pen worthy near anything walnut and does not get a reaction from this finish)
